The teardrop hanging on your lash is

burning me inside like ashes

from the very depths of hell

where years ago I fell

the glimpse of smile deep in your eyes

would have my shattered soul arise

but since you're not within my reach

the grief is what we preach

if tears can wash away those stains

then let the joy flow through your veins

and should my memories never burn

then once I may return
