Swirling in the air
Free of all despair
Of falling gently down
Onto the cold ground
When the time is ripe
One day
A leaf
There is the only leaf on the tree
And it keeps falling into me
I can see its beauty within
Something I am pleased to give in
Some dry holes and little veins
Pulsing for me in the cold sun
Today
A leaf
Let me call you my friend
As I stand behind my window
I silently ask if you will be here even tomorrow
My pride is melting
I practise how to breathe with my every cell
And watch you my dear friend
Glittering in the sun
