By the end of the day, everyone gets what they ask for

By the end of the day, everyone gets what they ask for

Anotace: This poem explores the often overlooked truth that hard work alone doesn't guarantee recognition. It speaks to the importance of self-advocacy — the courage to raise your voice, to step forward, and to ask for what you deserve.

I worked hard
to be appreciated,

but soon I found —
it's not enough.
You have to rise your voice,
stand tall,
be tough.

Because at the end of the day,
everyone gets
not what they earn,
but what they ask for —
and that,
my friend,
is what I’ve learned.

:) smělá a úsměvná myšlenka - ale angličtinu vítám, protože anglicky moc neumím, ale pořád se učím - a poezie je skvělý dopravní prostředek pro mozek :)
